What the free initial review includes
- We look through your documents, such as the decision letter, policy, application and medical reports.
- We give you an initial assessment of your prospects of success and of any deadlines.
- We explain the next steps and the likely costs.
The initial review does not commit you to anything. A lawyer–client relationship (Mandat) is only established when you instruct us and we confirm this.
What happens next
With legal expenses insurance
We obtain confirmation of cover from your legal expenses insurer (Rechtsschutzversicherung) for you. Whether and to what extent the costs are covered is decided by the insurer in accordance with your policy terms, for example regarding waiting periods or excesses. We will point this out to you in advance.
Without legal expenses insurance
In that case, we discuss openly which costs representation may involve before you make a decision. Fees are based on the German Lawyers’ Remuneration Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz, RVG) or on an agreement made in writing beforehand.
No hidden costs: We tell you before we start what you need to expect. We do not guarantee success, because nobody can promise the outcome of proceedings.
